‘I am now feeling a great deal happier.’
I sought Katie’s help after taking on a promotion at work which, combined with the impacts of COVID on the demands of this role, led to me feeling under a lot of work-related stress. With Katie’s help I was able to achieve my goal of keeping work and home separate and was able to enjoy my time out of work with friends and family once again. I found myself able to be more ‘present’ and live in the moment outside of work and keep mental boundaries between these two elements of my life. Katie’s sessions over a couple of months or so enabled me to gain a greater understanding of the mechanics of what was happening in my brain and why, and learnt to change my response and recognise the positive impact of even the most simple interactions and activities. I’m therefore optimistic that, whilst I am now feeling a great deal happier, I am also equipped with the tools to help me react in the right way if I feel myself starting to suffer the same negative emotions again.
